Petrified Collawood Sterling Silver Pendant. $90

A beautiful cabochon cut by our lapidary artist Paul Rossman .  Collawood is an extremely rare version of petrified wood from Zile, Turkey. Millions of years ago ancient trees were buried by debris that caused them to be petrified . A certain set of  trees fell over a copper deposit. Over time copper filled  the spaces creating bright inclusions of Chrysocolla creating this rare petrified wood .  Set in sterling and fine silver this collectors pendant measures 2 1/2” including the bail. A piece of history millions of years old.
