Hells Canyon Herringbone Petrified Wood ( rare ) Sterling Silver Pendant.

This sought after material come from Idaho near the snake river.  The original tree was a large Sequoia.  When the Army Corp of Engineers decided to create a lake they flooded the area and the petrified tree went under water.  This material is no longer available. What exists is in collections.  This beautiful cabochon is by Paul Rossman and shows chocolate brown, beige , yellow and cream and the beautiful intricate pattern of the tree.  Set in sterling and fine silver pendant measures 2 5/8” including the bail.  A collectors pendant for the gemstone lover .
